This is my chess improvement journal. I have returned to tournament chess after a short break of 35 years. I am following the advice of "Chess Master at Any Age" by Rolf Wetzell with some modifications for modern technology.

GM Nigel Davies points out this important video by Anand talking about memory, preparation with computers, and making the transition from preparation to playing.
I created this version. I found one very much like it somewhere, but I wanted to add a few things to mine, that were not on the one I found.
I like the hand drawn figures, which I picked up from Wetzell's "Master At Any Age". He used a board stamp and that alphabet to hand create his flash cards.
There was room for something in the lower corner, and I thought Silman's imbalance list was a useful thing to have around.
Hey Rob,
ReplyDeleteDid you create the position analysis sheet? It's a cool idea. How do you recommend using them?
Matt
